The 006 competed during the 1973 F1 Championship – it became one of Tyrrell Racing’s most successful race cars throughout the team’s 30-year history. Raced in by two-time World Champion Jackie Stewart and François Cevert, the 006 epitomised the extremes of F1 during the 1970s. The 006 was the first Tyrrell-built design to be perfectly replicated, with the ‘006’ becoming a model number rather than simply a chassis specification. Three versions of the chassis were then produced and were driven by Stewart and Cevert.
