Flat Knit Upper Constructed using a flat knit upper, the Hoka Skyward X offers a secure fit that hugs the foot for optimum comfort and flexibility, whilst remaining highly breathable. The knit material helps to enhance breathability throughout your runs by allowing cool air to permeate the fabric, uncomfortable heat build-up is then removed creating a healthy environment where feet can thrive. A gusseted tongue provides you with a lightweight mid-foot lockdown ensuring that your feet remain in place while extra cushioning around the ankle keeps you comfortable, providing you with optimal comfort whilst you’re on the go. An extended heel pull tab has been designed for further comfort and to assist in putting the shoes on and lastly, a traditional lacing system locks the midfoot to prevent excessive movement. PEBA Foam Midsole Supplying you with an exceptional ride, the Hoka Skyward X utilises a PEBA foam midsole to provide you with a more cushioned, responsive ride. The foam adapts to your stride and provides you with a great balance of support and flexibility and also helps to reduce injury by cushioning your landing. A carbon fibre plate helps to deliver a smoother transition throughout the gait cycle. The carbon plate minimises energy loss, increases propulsion and delivers an abundance of structural support, making running feel effortless and giving you the confidence to reach new PBs. A super critical EVA rocker frame is specifically designed with a low heel-to-toe drop to create a rocking chair-style effect to encourage a guided gait cycle for a faster toe-off and a deep active foot frame cradles the heel for a secure ride. Durable Rubber Outsole Designed to be flexible and durable, the outsole of the Hoka Skyward X has been constructed using durable rubber. Placed strategically on high-wear areas such as the forefoot and heel, the rubber increases durability and resists the traumas of heel strikes to bring you a long-lasting running buddy. The durable rubber outsole will keep you in firm control across a wide range of different terrains over a long period. Completing the outsole are flex grooves that encourage multi-directional movements.
