This can prove difficult in wet conditions, where even the slightest amount of morning dew can create a barrier between the face and the ball, drastically reducing friction and spin. TaylorMade engineered the MG4 with all-new Spin Tread grooves to eliminate this issue. Spin Tread consists of deep laser-etched channels between the grooves that funnel water away upon impact, ensuring direct contact with the ball. When combined with TaylorMade’s Raw Face and Raised Micro-Ribs, the MG4 produces immense levels of spin with virtually no dropoff in wet conditions.

TaylorMade finishes the MG4 with True Temper’s Dynamic Gold Tour Issue 115 shaft and Lamkin’s Crossline 360 grip.
