The i530’s considerable distance capabilities are attained through multiple sources, including an internal weight pad that creates a deeper, thinner face-to-sole transition and an arcing sole cascade. Working in unison, these two elements are responsible for the face’s immense ability to flex, rebound, and, thus, generate superior ball speeds at impact. Additionally, the pad shifts the center of gravity lower in the head, allowing for strengthened, distance-optimized lofts while still producing a high, green-holding apex. In totality, the i530’s technological advancements are responsible for an additional three yards, making them PING’s longest player’s distance iron to date.
