Made of Gore-Tex Infinium™ Windstopper® 150, it is punctuated by a large, covered vent on the upper back and a smaller vent in a zipped pocket on the front, to let heat and moisture escape, so that you won’t end up with that boil-in-the-bag feel.This durable outer is reinforced by reduced seaming and seam sealed shoulders, to combat potential leaks, a substantial raw-edge waist with silicone grippers that lies flat and seals out wind, pockets with drain holes and double-layered cuffs that fit around your gloves to make them impermeable to the elements.The inner, meanwhile, is constructed from incredibly cosy Polartec® Alpha Direct insulation. Soft and furry, it lines the sleeves and the back of the jacket, then forms a separate vest-style front that can be zipped or unzipped.When the day is relatively warm, but you need a bit of protection for swift mountain descents or against the rain, zip the outer but leave the inner open. If the conditions are cold but calm, open up the outer and zip the inner.
