Behind you are two pads that your calves rest on. Now that you are locked in place you can do squats securely without the fear of falling or loosing your posture. It also allows you to stand up from the squat with less effort. Two handles on the base allow you to perform push ups from outside the bench. The BH Squat Machine has one more trick up its sleeve.
