Its aluminium frame uses updated kinematics and a compact rear triangle to deliver a stable, controlled ride feel, even on steeper or more technical terrain.With 130mm of suspension travel front and rear, the SR Suntour setup provides a good balance of comfort and control without feeling overbuilt. It smooths out trail chatter while maintaining efficient power transfer when climbing or pedalling between sections.Bosch’s Performance Line CX motor delivers strong, consistent assistance, helping you tackle climbs with less effort and maintain momentum across longer rides. The 600Wh battery offers solid range for typical trail sessions, with the option to extend it further using Bosch’s range extender system.A mullet wheel setup combines a larger 29” front wheel for improved rollover and stability with a 27.5” rear wheel for agility and easier handling. Schwalbe Nobby Nic tyres add dependable grip across mixed trail conditions.The SRAM Eagle 12-speed drivetrain gives a wide gear range for varied terrain, while 4-piston hydraulic disc brakes provide reliable stopping power when descending or riding in wet conditions. A dropper post adds versatility, allowing quick saddle adjustments for improved control on descents.Overall, the ALLTRAIL 4 is a well-rounded e-MTB that blends comfort, control and capability, making it a strong choice for riders looking to explore trails with added support and confidence.Bosch Performance Update 2.0Bosch have dropped a fresh update for the Performance Line CX and CX-R motors, and it’s a big one for riders who want more punch on the trails. The update is available for the latest generation motors with the codes BDU384Y and BDU386Y, and it can be installed straight from the Bosch eBike Flow app. Nice and easyOnce you’ve downloaded Performance Update 2.0, you can crank the motor up to a huge 120 Nm of torque, with up to 600% support and 750 watts of peak power. Bosch have also tweaked things so the motor can hold that power for longer when the riding conditions allow.The 600% support figure only kicks in between 0 and 15 km/h, so it’s all about helping you power up steep climbs and tricky sections. The maximum assisted speed stays the same at 25 km/h.As with previous Bosch updates, you can still customise the motor settings in the app to suit your riding style. Whether you want maximum power for steep tech climbs or a more natural feel on longer rides, you can dial it in how you like it.Performance Update 2.0 is available for all CX Gen 5 and CX-R Gen 5 motors. It also brings Extended Boost (Bosch Overrun) and support for the new drivetrain tensioner system, which helps reduce lag when you get back on the pedals. Bosch are also adding more features and connectivity options, including Garmin integration and new power supply options.One thing worth keeping in mind — more power means more stress on drivetrain components, so increased wear is expected over time.
