The Carbon C frame uses a 4-bar suspension layout with 150mm of rear travel, delivering consistent traction and control across mixed trail terrain.Up front, the RockShox ZEB Base fork provides 160mm of controlled travel, giving the Vala a confident front end when trails get steep or rough. At the rear, the FOX Float X Performance shock balances support and comfort, helping the bike stay composed through repeated hits and longer descents.Power comes from the Bosch Performance Line CX motor, offering smooth, responsive assistance with up to 120Nm of torque. It’s paired with a 600Wh Bosch PowerTube battery, giving a practical balance of range and weight for longer trail rides and full days in the hills.The SRAM Eagle T-Type 12-speed drivetrain is built for e-bike use, with precise shifting and a wide 10–52T cassette that makes steep climbs more manageable. SRAM DB8 hydraulic disc brakes deliver consistent stopping power, helping maintain control when speeds increase.A mixed wheel setup combines a 29” front wheel with a 27.5” rear, improving rollover at the front while keeping the rear end agile. Maxxis Assegai and Minion DHR II tyres provide dependable grip in a wide range of conditions, while Reserve 30|HD aluminium rims are chosen for long-term durability.With balanced geometry, proven suspension design and a powerful but predictable drive system, the Vala 1 Carbon C is built for riders who want a full-power e-MTB that feels composed and confidence-inspiring on real trails.Bosch Performance Update 2.0Bosch have dropped a fresh update for the Performance Line CX and CX-R motors, and it’s a big one for riders who want more punch on the trails. The update is available for the latest generation motors with the codes BDU384Y and BDU386Y, and it can be installed straight from the Bosch eBike Flow app. Nice and easy.Once you’ve downloaded Performance Update 2.0, you can crank the motor up to a huge 120 Nm of torque, with up to 600% support and 750 watts of peak power. Bosch have also tweaked things so the motor can hold that power for longer when the riding conditions allow.The 600% support figure only kicks in between 0 and 15 km/h, so it’s all about helping you power up steep climbs and tricky sections. The maximum assisted speed stays the same at 25 km/h.As with previous Bosch updates, you can still customise the motor settings in the app to suit your riding style. Whether you want maximum power for steep tech climbs or a more natural feel on longer rides, you can dial it in how you like it.Performance Update 2.0 is available for all CX Gen 5 and CX-R Gen 5 motors. It also brings Extended Boost (Bosch Overrun) and support for the new drivetrain tensioner system, which helps reduce lag when you get back on the pedals.
