Its Forward Geometry creates a stable, centred riding position that helps you stay confident when the trail turns steep or fast. With 150 mm of rear travel controlled by the latest Zero Suspension design, the bike keeps traction and balance through technical sections while still feeling efficient on climbs.Up front, the Fox 38 Float GRIP Performance fork delivers 160 mm of support with adjustable compression and rebound, designed to handle repeated hits and rough terrain. The Fox Float-X rear shock adds mid-stroke control and a calm, predictable feel on longer descents. A flip chip at the lower shock mount lets you fine-tune the handling and adjust tyre clearance, while different chainstay lengths on larger sizes tailor the bike’s balance for each rider.Power comes from the Bosch Performance Line CX Smart System, offering strong assistance for technical climbs and helping you reach more trails without hesitation. The 800 Wh PowerTube battery sits neatly inside the downtube and is removable for convenient charging. The flush-mounted Kiox 400 display integrates cleanly into the top tube, offering clear ride data and mode control through the Mini Remote.The Crafty Carbon R runs a SRAM T-Type wireless drivetrain for smooth, consistent shifting and durable performance suited to rough riding. SRAM Maven Base four-piston brakes with 200 mm rotors provide controlled power on long or steep descents. Mavic E-Deemax wheels paired with Maxxis Assegai and Minion DHR II tyres bring dependable grip and impact resistance for hard terrain.With its mix of long-travel suspension, purposeful geometry, powerful assistance and a fully featured chassis, the Crafty Carbon R is built for riders who enjoy technical enduro terrain and want the backup of a full-power motor for big days out.Bosch Performance Update 2.0Bosch have dropped a fresh update for the Performance Line CX and CX-R motors, and it’s a big one for riders who want more punch on the trails. The update is available for the latest generation motors with the codes BDU384Y and BDU386Y, and it can be installed straight from the Bosch eBike Flow app. Nice and easy.Once you’ve downloaded Performance Update 2.0, you can crank the motor up to a huge 120 Nm of torque, with up to 600% support and 750 watts of peak power. Bosch have also tweaked things so the motor can hold that power for longer when the riding conditions allow.The 600% support figure only kicks in between 0 and 15 km/h, so it’s all about helping you power up steep climbs and tricky sections. The maximum assisted speed stays the same at 25 km/h.As with previous Bosch updates, you can still customise the motor settings in the app to suit your riding style. Whether you want maximum power for steep tech climbs or a more natural feel on longer rides, you can dial it in how you like it.Performance Update 2.0 is available for all CX Gen 5 and CX-R Gen 5 motors. It also brings Extended Boost (Bosch Overrun) and support for the new drivetrain tensioner system, which helps reduce lag when you get back on the pedals. Bosch are also adding more features and connectivity options, including Garmin integration and new power supply options.One thing worth keeping in mind — more power means more stress on drivetrain components, so increased wear is expected over time.
